Welcome Elisa Olson, Executive Director!
The Board of Directors of Her Voice Productions, the non-profit umbrella organization for the Twin Cities Girls’ Choir, Twin Cities Women’s Choir and ENCORE!, is excited to announce the hiring of a new Executive Director, Elisa Olson. After a robust search and several rounds of interviews, Elisa was the unanimous choice of our search committee and Board!
Elisa comes to us with more than 15 years of leadership experience in arts organizations, ranging from working as a high school music teacher to working at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC, where she had the privilege of stage managing an event at the White House. Locally, she has worked at the University of Minnesota in the department of theater and dance, and most recently as the managing director for Ashland Productions. She is a founding Board member of Border CrosSing, a new professional choir in the Twin Cities, whose mission is to integrate historically segregated audiences and musicians in the performance of choral music so that singers and audiences more closely reflect the racial and cultural composition of the Twin Cities.
Elisa, also an accomplished singer, has been running her own voice studio for the last eight years, where she’s taught over 100 students. She has sung with the San Jose Symphony, been a featured soloist for the Grand Forks Symphony, and was a member of the Grand Forks Master Chorale for three years. Currently, she is an active member of the Minnesota Valley Women’s Chorale.
We are so pleased to have her join us and look forward to working with her to advance our mission to create a diverse community that sings, performs and affirms the voices of women and girls.
